Pet Vet Animal Hospitals have provided compassionate veterinary services and quality products for over 500,000 pets and 300,000 families in the greater Houston area. During the past 40 years it has been our goal to promote comprehensive health care for your pets. Our hospitals offer full-service health care that includes major medical care for sick or injured pets, examinations, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries, vaccinations, surgery (including spays and neuters), dentistry, radiology and in-house diagnostic laboratory tests. We also perform routine testing for heartworms, intestinal parasites and feline leukemia. Our professional staff can assist you and your pets with prescription diets, pet supplies and pet insurance.   • Dr.

    Dr. Mark is a second generation veterinarian. Dr. Mark is one of the founders of Pet Vet Animal Hospitals and has been in practice for over 48 years. He loves what he does and plans to continue for some time into the future. Dr. Mark has 4 children and lives in Sugar Land. He is an Eagle Scout and remains a Scout Leader. Dr. Mark loves animals and people as well and hopes to meet you soon.

  • Dr.

    Dr Sue Matlock has been practicing veterinary medicine with Pet Vet Animal Hospitals for 9 years. Although a native of Mississippi, she obtained her doctorate at Texas A&M University. She is a truly a borne and bred southerner. Presently she does general practice at the Heights location in Houston.

    Doctor Williams graduated from the American School in London in 1976. From there he went to Texas A & M University and graduated in 1980 with a BS in Biomedical Science and in 1984 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He worked at King Blvd. Animal Hospital prior to joining Pet Vet in 1987. Dr. Williams enjoys landscaping and keeping fit by running.

    Dr. Parham graduated from Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She is a proud Houston native and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Houston Downtown. Dr. Parham is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association and Harris County Veterinary Medical Association.

    Dr James Sloat is one of the owners of Pet Vet Animal Hospitals.  He was in the inaugural class of the Tennessee’s College of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 1979.  Dr. Jim relocated to Houston after a brief internship in Ohio, and has been a practicing veterinarian in Houston with Pet Vet his entire career.

    Born and raised in Madison, WI. Undergraduate degree at UW Madison, DVM at UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989.

    Began practicing in Connecticut where I met my wife Jessica. We have a 14 year old daughter, Savannah, who will be a freshman in high school this fall. WE have several small dogs, 2 guinea pigs and a hedgehog.

    Doctor McLemore graduated from Texas A&M University in 1988 and has been with Pet Vet since that time. She is currently owned by two Doberman Pinschers. Dr. McLemore and her dogs are very active in conformation, agility, obedience and tracking. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Harris County Veterinary Medical Association, Doberman Pinscher Club of America, and Doberman Pinschers Club of Houston.
